These policies govern participation in programs offered by Hickory Grove Schoolhouse, LLC and are designed to help our community run smoothly and safely for every child and family. Please read them and reach out with any questions.
Drop-off is between 8:45 and 9:00 AM. Please aim for the early end of that window so we can start on time. Pickup is between 12:00 and 12:45 PM.
Promptness is important. If you anticipate being late, please contact Cristina as early as possible.
Each child should arrive with a labeled water bottle.
Please keep your child home if they have any of the following symptoms:
If a child becomes ill during the day, a parent or guardian will be contacted to arrange prompt pickup.

Hickory Grove Schoolhouse meets in all weather conditions. Outdoor time is part of every pop-up class and seasonal session. Please dress your child accordingly.
Rain boots or hiking sandals are strongly recommended, as the property has multiple wet areas. Extra layers and rain gear are always appropriate. On rainy days, please send a full change of clothes.
When temperatures fall into the teens or below, outdoor time will be reduced.
In the event of severe weather such as a thunderstorm or weather advisory, outdoor activities will move indoors.
Hickory Grove Schoolhouse is passionate about being good stewards of the land and our bodies, so the foods we prepare will be dye-free and cooked from scratch. We will cook with whole foods for the most part. Processed food and treats will be limited.
Hickory Grove Schoolhouse is a low-tech environment for children. Do not send your child with a phone, tablet, smartwatch, or any other personal device. Devices brought to the program will be held until pickup.
All enrolling families are required to complete a Photo Release Waiver, which will be included in your enrollment packet. Photos and videos taken during program days may be used on the Hickory Grove Schoolhouse website and on our Hickory Grove Schoolhouse Facebook page. They are not shared anywhere else.

Current pricing for pop-up classes and seasonal sessions is listed on the Program Options page.
Registering requests a spot; it does not hold one. Cristina will confirm availability and send payment details (check and Venmo). Your spot is held once payment is received.
Pop-up classes. Cancel any time up to 24 hours before the class for a full refund. Inside that window, please contact Cristina to discuss any extenuating circumstances.
Seasonal sessions. Cancel any time up to one week before the first Wednesday of the session for a full refund. After that point the session is non-refundable, because your child's spot is reserved for all four weeks and cannot be filled part-way through.
Schedule changes. Dates and times are subject to change. If a class has to move, we will tell registered families directly, and you can take the new date or a full refund for that class.
If we cancel. If Hickory Grove Schoolhouse has to cancel a class for any reason, we will let you know as soon as we can and refund that class in full.
Low enrollment. Classes run as scheduled regardless of how many children are registered. Once a date is on the calendar, it happens.
Occasionally a program is not the right setting for a child. Hickory Grove Schoolhouse reserves the right to withdraw a registration if that turns out to be the case, and will refund the unused portion of any pop-up classes or seasonal sessions already paid for. For a seasonal session, the unused portion is prorated by the number of classes remaining. We would always talk with you first.
This refund applies when Hickory Grove Schoolhouse ends the arrangement. It does not change the cancellation terms above when a family chooses to withdraw.
